Chinese Culture...Dong Zhi

Today was the great day
of
the Chinese..
Dong Zhi
It was even
more important than the
Chinese New Year
According to my mum,
Dong Zhi symbolizing
the end
of
the year.
Normally,
as the Chinese,
we had a culture
to make the 'rice ball'
Above were the ingredients I needed..
Let me explain..
the colourful 1
was the flour..
and the small bowl's
was the coconut sugar..
And..
you are very lucky here,
because you can learn to make
the
Tang Yuan from me!!!
Here were the recipe and the steps:

I had made a 'mickey mouse Tang Yuan'
very cute,right?

Okay,
here we go...

Firstly,
made a round shape
with the flour...
combine the colour
of
the flour
so that it looks attractive.

Then,
use your finger
and flatten it gently.

Now,
put a piece
of
coconut sugar
on the flattened surface.

And,
seal it
so that the sugar
will not spill out.

Next,
roll it into
a ball shape again.

Get it?
Haha...
Although maybe not,
but I had finished mine..

And...
I had made 2
'mickey mouse Tang Yuan'
Very cute...

After that,
just boil a pot
of
water
(normally,
my mum boil it with
pandan leaves and
some sliced gingers)

As it named Tang Yuan
it means UNION
( in Chinese)
and
it should be ate by
the family members
together.

that was we...

the New Year as well )
